Que sont les diamaonds de laboratoire ?
Lab-grown diamonds share an identical crystal structure with mined diamonds—both consist of carbon atoms arranged in a cubic crystalline formation. Notably, high-quality lab-grown diamonds boast optical and physical properties that are indistinguishable from those of natural diamonds. Given that their growth process mirrors the natural formation mechanism of mined diamonds, lab-grown diamonds also exhibit variations in color and clarity. Not all achieve the level of colorlessness or flawlessness. However, they are graded using the exact same criteria as natural diamonds—the Four Cs (Color, Clarity, Cut, and Carat Weight)—by the very same independent gemological laboratories that assess earth-mined diamonds. Unlike inexpensive diamond simulants such as cubic zirconia and moissanite, the lab-grown diamonds offered by De Éternel are virtually identical to mined diamonds in terms of key visual attributes: brilliance, scintillation, flash, and fire. Even trained gemologists cannot distinguish them from natural diamonds without specialized laboratory equipment.

At De Éternel, our fine jewelry features exclusively laboratory-grown diamonds—and we take immense pride in this commitment. Compared to mined diamonds, our sustainably cultivated stones boast fewer impurities and minimal defects. This exceptional purity translates to a superior quality that outshines the majority of natural diamonds: whiter in hue, brighter in brilliance, and stronger in structure.
